- GIDARA Energy and TUDa expand their partnership to advance waste-to-energy technology.
- Collaboration will focus on optimizing waste feedstock for HTW® gasification.
Schiphol, 28 August — GIDARA Energy is excited to announce a strategic partnership agreement with Technische Universität Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt), a globally recognized leader in academic excellence, engineering and technological research. This agreement enhances the already existing multi-year collaboration, which focusses on converting waste materials into sustainable fuels and chemicals.
Building on years of successful joint efforts, the partnership will now concentrate on research and development of advanced technology for waste feedstock testing and optimisation. By combining GIDARA Energy’s commercially proven HTW® gasification technology with TU Darmstadt’s cutting-edge research facilities and academic leadership, the two organizations will explore new applications and advanced uses of the technology to unlock additional value from waste materials.
“This close collaboration allows us to rigorously optimize our HTW® gasification technology across a wide range of feedstocks. It’s about fine-tuning our proven process to perform at the highest level under many varying feed conditions.,” said Dr. Norbert Kamp, CEO GIDARA Energy.
A major focus of this collaboration is the exploration of different waste materials and their combinations to ensure their compatibility and effectiveness with the HTW® gasification technology. Additionally, the partnership will offer valuable research and training opportunities for TUDa graduate students, integrating them into pioneering projects related to waste-to-energy technologies.
“This partnership exemplifies the kind of collaboration that bridges the gap between academia and industry. Working with GIDARA Energy enables us to apply our research in a real-world context, advancing both science and industry practices,” said Prof. Dr. Epple, Head of Energy Systems & Technology at TU Darmstadt.
The collaboration highlights GIDARA Energy’s commitment to driving sustainable innovation and advancing scientific knowledge. By focusing on innovative waste feedstock solutions, GIDARA Energy and TU Darmstadt aim to make meaningful progress in reducing environmental impact and promoting renewable resource use. Joint work on research publications will contribute to a deeper understanding of waste conversion technologies and their applications.
